Michael See

Michael is the co-founder of Integra Clean Energy. He is the originator and developer of the Queensland On-Shore Wind Solar Transmission Project and Queensland Off-Shore Wind Transmission Project. He has performed the preliminary feasibility study, and coordinates the project with Queensland and Commonwealth governments, investors, financial institutions, contractors, equipment suppliers, indigenous communities, consultants and local government stakeholders. Michael wrote Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Global Business Aspects for Springer GmbH, and has visited more than a hundred countries to promote renewable energy financing, ESG financing and climate adaptation.

David Burbidge

David is an experienced business and project development manager with over thirty years of senior executive management experience in the energy sector. He has been involved in several wind farm projects in Australia to commercial PPA conclusions. He specialises in marketing, due diligence, project development and commercial negotiations. He has proven expertise in power project development in renewable energy generation technologies. David also been involved in developing a number of gas turbine, geo-thermal and renewable power projects to PPAs and financial close.

Chiao, Yen-Shong

Dr. Chiao is an electricity market specialist with vast design, implementation, operations and advisory experience.  In 2008-2009, he led an international team which completed the design and drafted the market rules for Vietnam’s cost-based competitive generation market (CGM). Subsequently in 2010-2011, Dr Chiao. assisted the Electricity Regulatory Authority and the National Load Dispatch Centre of Vietnam on the development of seven market operational manuals for the CGM. He led the market implementation and evolution in Singapore (2002-2004) and New Zealand (1999-2002) and the implementation of the Philippine wholesale electricity market (2004-2006). He now applies his expert knowledge to assist potential generation and transmission investors assessing the value of target assets in a rule-based market environment including managing transmission congestion.  Dr. Chiao’s clientele includes policy makers, regulators, power industry players, developers, investors and financiers from the following countries/markets:  New Zealand, Australia, Japan, USA, Europe, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, India, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Macau, Cambodia, Thailand, Russia and Italy.

Tony Foley

Tony is a specialist in employment, training, mobilisation and payroll for Indigenous Cultural Heritage Field Officers carrying out cultural heritage surveys, artefact collections and monitoring work for mining, energy and infrastructure projects throughout South-West and Central Queensland.  He has provided assistance to project developers engage with traditional owner groups to fulfil their obligations under the Queensland Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act of Queensland 2003. Tony was also contracted to the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet to serve as a Queensland Coordinator for the National Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation.  Roles included: media relations and grass-roots promotion of the Council’s aims and activities; the creation and facilitation of a Queensland Reconciliation Committee to oversee our activities; facilitating large public Regional Reconciliation Meetings; the promotion of Reconciliation Learning Circles and Reconciliation Action Plans; and VIP liaison whenever National Council members visited Queensland.

Philippe Grelon

Philippe Grelon has 30 years of global experience in biomass and waste-to-energy, specializing in the collection and treatment of solid, liquid and hazardous waste, recycling, incineration, land filling, industrial services, specific industrial cleanings and grease recovery to biodiesel. He has commercial, EPC, operational and M&A experience of environmental and waste management services in the Asia Pacific region, France, Ireland and Portugal. Philippe has managed several waste management, and integrated recycling and waste-to-energy project companies and achieved financial returns for these projects. His geographical experience extends from Asia Pacific to Europe, and is an adviser to the French Ministry of Commerce.

Sumihiro Kawamura

Kawa San has extensive experience in power generation and the electricity retail market. He has managed gas and power projects in Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Middle East and Europe (United Kingdom and Ireland).  Kawa’s project development experience included financing arrangement with commercial banks and ECA and multinational financing agencies JBIC, ADB and IFC. His project risk management skills include macroeconomic analysis and discount cash flow analysis. In renewable energy projects, Kawa San has developed solar, mini-hydro and geothermal power plants in Japan, Indonesia and Poland, and negotiated PPAs with relevant national utilities. In the electricity retail market, he has established relationships with industrial and commercial customers, including energy and FX hedging.

Stefan Zhurek

Stefan headed the National Agency for Foreign Investment and wrote European Business Sourcebook, Foreign Direct Investments in East and West Europe, published by International Thomson Business Press, with Michael See, while he was Director of Russian Programs at the John F. Kennedy School of Government. Stefan assisted in obtaining the country preface from Victor Chernomyrdin for the country preface on Russia. He led several international investments in Russia as chairman of NAIF, which included renewable energy investments in wind, solar, biomass and hydro-electric power. Stefan’s capabilities include the development and management of international agricultural and economic development programs; planning and structuring food security programs, high speed railway project investment; and adviser to the governments of Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Belarus.
